Reddie students looking to learn more about television production should look no further than the TV Production Practicum

In Television Practicum, students will learn how to conceptualize ideas and execute video productions. Experience video production planning (Preproduction), using various production equipment (Production), and digital delivery (Postproduction). Each student will learn the skills to produce individually and as part of a team. This course examines and applies the various aspects of TV Production including but not limited to: techniques of directing, floor managing, on- camera performing, hands-on experience with studio and field equipment, video storyboards and various software programs. The courses are designed to introduce the student to the technical and conceptual skills necessary to become a professional in the video/television industry.

Henderson Television (HTV) produces programming that airs on Suddenlink Cable in the Arkadelphia community.

Description

HTV is a non-commercial educational television studio and production facility at Henderson State University. The primary function of HTV is to provide a practical hands-on training environment to students interested in entering the field of television broadcasting. HTV adheres to EEO and OSHA standards. HTV strives for a sense of community involvement by producing quality programming enjoyable by all ages. Henderson Television excels at this by creating programs showcasing local news, sports and features, all produced by students of the Mass Media program at Henderson State.
