Innovative Media students joined together for a meeting in their new Ramsauer House last week to discuss the future of the organization. The relatively newly formed major/minor allows students to take part in technology in their pursuit of a communications career.

Last year, IM worked on a still ongoing commercial promoting Henderson, a business application, a virtual reality video game, and many other interesting things. Last Tuesday, David Stoddard, one of the heads of IM, spoke about the plans for the new year.

Along with continuing work on the ongoing projects, Stoddard mentioned the possibility of forming a video game competition club and starting renovations on the IM house. Dozens of students were in attendance, which speaks well for the growing organization.

Innovative media is definitely one of the most exciting and promising new developments on campus to come along in a long while. All communications majors and minors are encouraged to look into it.

It’s also reportedly a lot of fun. I mean, who wouldn’t want to fly drones and play on VR and get graded for it?
