The Henderson State University Fine Arts Department is proud to present Leo and Me by our graduating BFA digital design candidate Anissa Burton.
Anissa Burton came to Henderson State University in 2017 from Siloam Springs, AR. While enrolled at HSU, she has studied under the tutelage of Kasten Searles. Leo and Me is a culmination of these studies in digital design and illustration.
“Leo and Me is a children’s story that shows the process of grief after the death of a pet, and experiencing loss for the first time as a child. It also teaches that moving on afterward is natural and healthy, and that our family pets will continue to be loved in our hearts,” said Burton.
The student gallery is located on the second floor of the Henderson State University Huie Library and the exhibit will be open for public view from April 9-17.
