Could they go all the way?

With the NFL finishing up week 11, many teams have risen and fallen within the power rankings, but one team has managed to stay on top. That team is none other than the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are running on pure unfiltered domination. After their last game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Steelers are sitting atop of the league with a very impressive 10-0 record. Although, with such a stunning record certain expectations seem to arise.

Fans have been less than silent with their opinions on the undefeated Steelers, going as far as calling their schedule a “walk in the park.” Though the assumption may be perceived as disrespectful, taking a glance at the actual schedule in question certainly leaves a brow raised. The Steelers have played a total of seven teams that have overall records that fall under the .500 mark. Head Coach Mike Tomlin has made no effort to hide his criticism of his team going on record saying they were “far from perfect.”

However, despite facing seven “easy win teams,” the steelers still faced their share of adversity within the season. Their first nail-biter came early in the season against the Denver Broncos in just their second game, Pittsburgh managed to edge it out with a final score of 26-21. The very next week they encountered another close call with Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans coming out with the win by just one touchdown. The Steelers would go on winning the next two weeks, with one week being a total “blowout victory,” over the Cleveland Browns with a final score of 7-38.

Pittsburgh would then face an undefeated team as well in the Tennessee Titans. Both teams played their hearts out, but it was none other than the Steelers that emerged victorious pulling out the win with just a three-point win. The Steelers would then have to face the Baltimore Ravens, the two teams clashed in epic proportion in a game that had to be settled in the fourth quarter. The Steelers were again victorious winning by just a total of four points. The most unexpected close game Pittsburgh encountered was with none other than the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys, who were plagued with injuries this season were forced to start their 3rd string quarterback. Despite facing adversity and losing the game Dallas still made the game worthwhile only falling short of a victory by five points.

The Steelers only have six more games left in the regular season and it is yet to be determined if any other team is stacked enough to even the odds. We all just must wait and see how it all plays out for the remainder of the season.
