The no bowl pro bowl

Now that the sports world is already being turned upside down and flipped inside out, no one knows what to expect from the current season. The NFL has recently announced that there will be no Pro Bowl game this year. However, the selected players will still receive their honors for being selected to the teams. This is still a positive factor seeing as how each player will have a chance to add on to their list of accolades.

Although there will not be an actual game played the league has still announced that they will allow the players to participate in a “Variety of engaging activities.” Now for any regular NFL fan, this news may leave much to speculate considering the ever changing events that the athletes participated in during past Pro Bowl weeks. With the current restrictions due to COVID-19, the league could plan different events that require less contact and interaction than ever before.

The game is traditionally held in Hawaii at Aloha Stadium but because of a new deal signed by the NFL, it has been moved to Orlando, Florida in an attempt to help make it more relevant. The Pro Bowl had already been receiving relatively low ratings due to the lack of excitement from fans. Fans have constantly expressed their dislike of the event because they feel as if players put up a lackluster performance at best when they are invited to the game. However, it should be interesting to see how the week is handled this year and how the fans will react.
