It’s only just begun

With the season finally over and the Lakers being crowned victorious it leaves fans wondering what comes next for the NBA. Despite whatever narrative social media tried to display it seemed as if Lebron getting his 4th title was inevitable. The Heat certainly did not go down without a fight falling short just two games from their very own victory.

With the end of every NBA season comes the anticipation of the offseason. Big free agent names are being tossed around currently as fans await to see where their new homes may be. There is also the excitement of seeing superstars who had their season taken away by injuries this past season bounce back. The few teams to be on the lookout for is the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and The Los Angeles Clippers.

The Nets are looking to come back with a bang with the inquisitions of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. The Golden State Warriors are awaiting the return of both splash brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as well as a number two pick in the draft. The 76ers are starting fresh with a new coach, Doc Rivers, and a return from star forward Ben Simmons. The Clippers look to bounce back from an underwhelming performance next year as well.

Hopefully, the Bubble will not have to be used next year as the world tries to get a grip on the current pandemic. It does not capture the same essence one feels when watching a live NBA game, but it is however better than not having a season at all. However, fans should still keep a lookout for any more big changes ahead of next season.
