As Henderson went into Fall Break, the athletics teams geared up for trips across the state lines into Oklahoma. The football team would go to battle against Southwestern Oklahoma State, as the volleyball would travel to both Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Nazarene to duel on the court.

The volleyball team (11-9, 4-3) would begin weekend activities on Friday, starting with their match versus undefeated OKBU.

The Reddies would lose the first set to the Bisons, but that would be all she wrote for OKBU. Henderson would dominate the rest of the match, winning three straight sets to upset the Bison 3-1. Sabrina Show had a great showing as she would record a team-high, and game-high, of 17 kills.

The volleyball team would cap off their Fall Break taking on the Southern Nazarene Storm. Henderson would battle back and forth with SNU, who took sets one and three and the Reddies taking the first and fourth sets.

In a winner-take-all set, HSU would pull out the win with a fifth set victory by two points. Courteney Bolf would stuff the state sheets with a team-high of 18 kills and 31 digs.

For her performance, MaKenzie Thoman was awarded GAC Defensive player of the week, after charting 52 kills over the weekend.

With Homecoming swiftly approaching, the team looks to stay strong, as volleyball will travel to Memphis to take on LeMoyne-Owen on Thursday, October 17th and then return home to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State University on Friday, October 18th.
