After coming off a disappointing 5-6 season the Reddie football team is back for fall camp. One of the positives of this season is that the Reddies are returning 13 starters, seven on offense and six on defense.

This is a lot of experience that should benefit them in close games. One of the starters that is returning is Senior Quarterback Richard Stametti.

Last season Stametti started every game as the signal caller. He passed for 2459 yards and 18 touchdowns. He ranked 5th in the GAC in passing yards per game during the 2018 season, and 4th in passing touchdowns. In his first year he posted the 7th best passing yardage season in school history.

On defense, they may bring back just six starters, but they bring back even more experience including Robert Thomas who was Honorable Mention All-GAC. In all the team brings back 31 lettermen.

The season begins on September 7th against Oklahoma Baptist, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They then return home for their home opener against Southern Nazarene at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium at Ruggles field at 6 pm.
