Omega Psi Phi Probate

Omega Psi Phi Probate

The Ques have brought some fresh faces to yard at Henderson State. On a rainy and stormy friday night, six young men entered Omegaland. The Six Determined Souls of Blood and Thunder put on an electrifying show. The room is packed with family, friends, and men of Omega wrapped around the room.

Cecil Langston, Derrick Watson, Chester Lucas, Brian Crockett, Jamie Cush, and Kevin Franklin make up the Fall 2018 newest members of the Xi Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. For those who may not know a probate is a show in which new member of a Greek letter organization perform what they have learned during their process. People take pride in what they work hard for and showed on the faces of each new Omegaman. Filled with creativity, humor, and enough energy to power a house the probate brought loved ones together as they celebrated the accomplishments of the six young men. When asking Jamie Cush about the show, “I was really nervous because I had to start the show but it ended up being a night I won’t ever forget”

With a growing participation in the Henderson State Greek Life department it seems that the school is finding that the Greeks run the yard. From pageants to probates, fall semester has had a successful showing of Greeks on campus bringing a breath of fresh air to the school. Who knows what is going to happen in the spring?
