Miss Black and Gold Pageant

The brothers of The Theta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., held there, Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant November 27, 2018. The pageant featured six “Goddess of The Nile” that showcased a variety reasons why they should be crowned the Queen. A night to remember as each candidate graced the stage showcasing their talents to the watching audience. Second runner up Aleisha Hayes spoke on her talent of praise dancing, “At first I was nervous about the entire thing, but once it started it just became fun.”  

First runner up Jada King spoke briefly about participating in the pageant, “It was a rewarding experience. The support from my peers was also a great feeling.” A lot of successful events that happen here at Henderson have the tendency to put smiles on the faces of the students. Oyshi Hossain was crowned Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant winner. She says, “I am grateful to have won and thank everyone who supported along this journey.”
